Promotion Time

As bees are buzzing and the birds are singing in excitement about the upcoming Summer so are the Seniors about graduation. If you listen really close you can also hear every kid enrolled in school chatting about the upcoming last day of school. As is true with my kids which brings us to their promotion day. Tanner was getting his dare shirt ready and Tianna was deciding which dress she would wear for her day. There was a lot of excitement going on and not just in the kids!!

As of next year Tanner will be in 6th grade and moving onto the middle school. Jeremy will be in 8th grade the oldest class in the middle school. Tianna will be in 9th grade a Freshman youngest calss in the High school AAAHHHHH!! And of course Brittany will be a Senior the oldest class. WOW where does the time go? It seems like yesterday we were attending Natasha's graduation, it all goes by way too fast.

The kids are very excited to start all of their summer plans and I am excited to have them busy with something they love. So as we close out this year I just want to put out a Thank You to all the Teachers and Administrators that helped my children progress with there education. I am sure at times my kids can be and are trying but I just want you all to know I am very thankful for the important roles you are in my childrens lives. So for that again Thank You!! Everyone have a safe and enjoyable summer!

May Yard Work

May has brought on a very busy time for us. It started out with re-doing our sprinkler system. We have had a lot of problems with our well and it was hooked to our sprinklers.

We have been working to fix it for a couple of years and we have not had very good luck. We both got sick of looking at our dead yard so we decided to re-do the sprinklers and plug it into the city water.
As you can see the kids were so excited to lend a helping hand. They were really good to pitch in and dig out the trenches pull pipe around the yard and run and get anything we needed at a moments notice.

They even made their own bridges and arches within the trenches we had dug. All in good fun they were happy and willing to work hard the entire weekend. The yard itself will take sometime to come back but we have a great start on the yard we always wanted to create. I will post more pictures later as it progresses. Of course it is always a work in progress!

Special Prom

Every year they put on a special Prom and all teenagers 14 and older are invited. Brittany was excited to go and Tianna had no desire to go. We gently pushed and persuaded, more like made her commit, and finally got her to agree to go. We borrowed Natasha's prom dress for Tianna to wear and Brittany got into her dress and of course we had to take pictures.
The girl's wanted to show off their dresses and our new car. They do it well but personally I think the girls are a lot more beautiful!! I am sure this is completely non-bias.

A little bit of brotherly love in the works. I didn't need to twist his arm much as you can see the smile on his face.

All said and done once Tianna got into the beautiful dress and had seen how beautiful she really is, with or without the dress, she was excited to go. She told me after the dance she only had two boys step on her dress. One of them tripped over it and she just apologized but he was ok. All in all she had a good time. I am kinda glad I made her go. Thanks for being such good sports kids Love You all!!

Easter Fun

Well here we are and it is Spring. We had some family come down for Easter and it was a blast!! We went down to Natural Bridges and hiked around. We had all ages and diversity's hiking with us. We had my Mother that had foot surgery, my sister that was 7 months pregnant, and the small kids to watch around the steep edges of the cliff's.

It was a lot of fun to have so much family down and to be out enjoying natures true beauty. I wish we had all of our family members there but maybe next time.

It was a beautiful day for hiking a little cool but once we got moving it warmed right up. The kids were having a great time with their cousins and everyone was in great company. After we were done hiking we decided to head back to the house for some good food!! It was a great time had by all.

To Blog or not to blog?

So I was trying to update my blog for each month until I got everything current until I realized it has almost been a year since my last posted event. So I cannot decide if I should even blog. It seems like I am hit and miss a year at a time. I know in my last posts I said I would be better but I just have not done so. I guess what I am trying to say is I will give it one more good effort if I can post sooner than a year the blog might stay alive.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is here and with all of the traveling we have been doing it is nice to be home for a weekend. The kids wanted to go hiking or just get out so we went down to cottonwood wash. It was a little tricky finding some water for the kids to play in but once we did they were happy to get out of the car. We also brought the dogs so they could get out to. They loved it of course. It was a nice break and some good family time together. What a beautiful place we live in to have so many places to explore right close. It was really fun.

Lexi's Graduation

The time has come for my dear sweet niece to graduate. She is graduating from the University of Utah, Yeah!! Only one of the best schools around of course!! The stage was set and all the graduates were in there seats. She was graduating with a double bachelor's degree. One was an art history major and the second was an English major. Man that makes me tired just thinking about all of that homework! What a trooper she is and I am sure she is very happy to be done with all of her papers, homework and finals!!

This is her brother Andre. We were all happy to be there.

This reminds me of those where's waldo picture books. Can you find Lexi?

Ceremony complete let the hugs begin!!

Of course our goof ball Addi, life would be dull without his smile.

The Peterson family showing there true colors!!

Okay, okay calm down, UMFA stands for Utah Museum of Fine Arts!!

Addi wanted to clime the U, but was having trouble Loren came into help.

Addison's footing slipped and he landed right onto Loren's back. Luckily no-one was hurt but it turned out to be the perfect assist.

Love, love this picture of the girls!!

So then it was Alec's turn to climb the U, with the assistance from Addi.

Little nervous but success!!

Loren had the perfect opportunity to scare some seagulls and it worked perfectly.

We have always told Tia she should work in a field with animals when she grows up. They love her and are always approaching her no matter where we are. It is amazing!!

Little lunch in the park.

Shelly's twins at the BBQ at Nancy & Gary's house later that night.

Friends and Family all accounted for to celebrate Lexi's awesome accomplishment.
